This company is an Australian owned renewables business that owns and operates a portfolio of large scale clean energy projects, primarily wind farms, but also solar and others. They have a close knit culture and make rapid decisions.
About the Role
This role would suit a senior asset engineer or someone ready to step up and is excited about a prospect of working in a small dynamic team. Reporting to the General Manager- Renewables, you will be in charge of managing not only technical day to day asset management of a number of wind farms, but also commercial and financial aspects. This position provides a great opportunity for growth and career progression.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the company’s energy portfolio and provide technical and operational support to a number of wind farms, including fault finding, root cause analysis and optimisation of high voltage electrical, SCADA, protection and communications systems;
- Prepare reports to the Board and other stakeholders when required;
- Provide overall asset management leadership of a growing portfolio of renewables projects;
- Provide financial input to site budget preparation and manage operational expenses;
- Liaise with stakeholders on environmental issues.
- Previous asset engineering experience within the renewables sector, specifically wind energy;
- Knowledge of asset life maintenance planning, reliability centered maintenance and total maintenance cost management, including whole of life budgeting;
- Commercial/ financial and environmental experience would be well regarded.
