Your new Company:
  
They are a major Australian energy company with significant generational assets, including Renewable Energy, progressing their transition to clean energy with a significant investment and pipeline. They have a well-established Microgrid business that is consistently winning new, high-profile clients.
  
Your new role:
  
Report to and be mentored by the Head of Design and Delivery and play a key role in the engineering of commercial and industrial microgrid projects. You will be working on large scale behind the meter Solar, Wind, PPA’s, batteries and demand response ranging from 100mw solar and 200mw wind with large BESS. You will also:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solar PV and battery energy storage system designs, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Perform detailed electrical system analysis, including load profiles, energy consumption patterns, and system sizing to meet customer requirements.
  • Design electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout plans for system installations.
  • Calculate power price estimates and commercial returns for clients.
  • Due diligence on EPCs to assist the selection process.
  • Evaluate the market place, and identify project suppliers e.g. battery, inverter and panel companies, whilst staying up to date with the latest technologies.
  • Visit sites to witness commissioning and ITP’s and conduct quality inspections.
Who you are:
  
A professionally certified Electrical Engineer, at least five years’ experience with proven experience in the design, engineering, and deployment of solar PV and battery energy storage systems, particularly in commercial & industrial and/or mine sites. You will need proficiency in relevant software tools, such as PVSyst, Gridcog, Orkestra, Helioscope, HOMER and AutoCAD and knowledge of connection points.
