Is a large electrical contractor involved in renewable power infrastructure, commercial and industrial electrical and data cabling networks. They have been in business for many years and are a stable, growing and well managed business.
Your new role
Take charge of a well established solar and storage business and give leadership to the engineering team. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of specific projects in alignment to standards, budget and program.
Key accountabilities will include
- Reviewing and signing off HSE quality requirements, ensuring they are implemented and followed;
- Drive profitability, efficiencies and innovations within projects;
- Mentorship and development of the team and their career pathways through delegating of key tasks and allowing your team to take ownership of project delivery ;
- Attending/chairing project control meetings including design reviews, HAZOPs, safety in design and site walk-throughs;
- Leading contractual negotiations with suppliers and assisting with customer contractual negotiations;
- Review and prepare project finance reports and cashflow;
- Manage project and supplier resourcing;
- Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specifications and quality standards through regular quality inspections;
- Liaise with different design disciplines and project stakeholders to bring the design suite together for project delivery;
- Keep the leadership team informed about project status and addressing issues that may impact client relations;
- Organisation and implementation of DNSP requirements as required.
You are an experienced Project Manager of commercial and industrial solar and enjoy managing and mentoring people.
