Your new Company:
They are a major Australian energy company with significant generational assets, including Renewable Energy, progressing their transition to clean energy with a significant investment and pipeline. They foresee significant clean energy sources and firming required to cover existing energy requirements as traditional energy generation technologies come off-line. They have a business model and strategy to meet future energy requirements with renewables including a major contribution from offshore wind.
Your new role:
Lead a commercial finance team focused on the performance of both operating assets and new capital projects for renewables and firming. Financial management associated with joint venture partnerships and projects, financial and performance reporting of investments, construction and operations activities as well as leading commercial strategy for future financial performance. You will also lead the economic assessment of investment cases, as well as providing oversight and management of future joint venture and clean energy fund interests.
Who you are:
A financial management professional with strategy & commercial experience, familiar with capital projects. You have senior commercial leadership experience surrounding financial decision-making for large-scale investment in large and/or numerous infrastructure projects, including, but not limited to renewable energy. A finance or accounting background is important for this role, experience with Project Finance, Joint Ventures, M&A, strategic thinking and management of equity interests is advantageous.
