Prominent in the UK, Australia and Africa this company is expanding into New Zealand and building a local team. They are a Developer, EPC and financier in the Utility Scale Solar industry with a focus on small scale ground mounted projects they are fast approaching 200 MW’s fully developed and operational in Australia alone. They have a joint-venture with a major German Renewables Developer and are a small yet fast growing company.
Your new role
Reporting to the Development Manager this role will assist with land acquisition strategies and activities such as identifying areas of interest, finding sites and assessing them for suitability for renewable energy developments. You will facilitate initial introductions and discussions, develop relationships with Councils, local land owners, farmers and community groups with the goal of gaining support and acquiring or leasing suitable land.
Geographically this is a national role with a focus on the South Island and the South of the North Island, you will be targeting sites around 30ha at the very minimum and ideally closer to 100ha plus.
Who you are
With around 2–5 years Business Development and or Land Acquisition experience from Renewable Energy or Real Estate. You have done similar activities from an agricultural perspective and have experience dealing with people living and working on the land, you know what makes them tick. A passion for the environment and sustainability will also go a long way.
