Your new role:

Supported by a technical Engineer you will act as a vital strategic and technical conduit between the client (manufacturer) and an extensive network of solar installers across New Zealand. You will guide installers with the technical advice, training, and troubleshooting support they need to seamlessly deploy our client’s premium range of solar inverters and battery energy storage systems. You will:
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for installers, providing expert guidance on the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of hybrid/commercial inverters and lithium-ion battery storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges on-site or remotely, ensuring minimal project downtime for installers and end-consumers.
  • Translate highly technical manufacturer specifications into practical, actionable advice for field technicians.

  • Collate regional product feedback, bugs, and product performance data to report back to the manufacturer's engineering teams.
  • Assist in reviewing or advising on commercial and industrial (C&I) solar system designs to ensure compatibility and optimal performance of inverters and storage.
  • Provide technical project management oversight during critical commissioning phases across various sites.
Who you are:

Experience in system design and/or technical project management within the Commercial & Industrial solar industry. You have a technical understanding of solar inverter topologies (grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid) and advanced energy storage systems (lithium-ion batteries, BMS) and a solid understanding of New Zealand electricity standards and wiring regulations relative to solar and battery storage installations. You will also need to have strong "people skills" with the ability to build rapport with a diverse stakeholder group, ranging from global manufacturing engineers to local electrical installers.
