Damian Penston Senior Consultant Tokyo

Damian has been recruiting in the Asia Pacific region for over ten years. Damian worked for a major international development agency, and was previously the managing director for a Japanese recruitment firm.

He is the chairman of an economic inclusion not-for-profit and an advisory board member of a child welfare not-for-profit and a cloud computing social enterprise.

Prior to becoming a recruiter, Damian was a software and telecoms engineer, and managing director of a software development firm with offices in Europe and Asia. He also writes a human rights blog which is focused mainly on human trafficking.

His involvement with civil society accelerated in 2011, when he spent 6 months as a full-time volunteer after the disasters in northern Japan, managing projects and establishing triadic relationships domestically and internationally. He also writes a human rights blog focused on human trafficking.
