Your new Company:
  
The company is a Developer, EPC but they are full scope, they cover projects end to end. They are well capitalised and have a massive parent company behind them. They involved in the acquisition, development, financing, offtake, construction, connection and operation utility scale solar, wind farms, hydrogen and battery storage projects across Australia and Asia.
  
Your new role:
  
Provision of legal advice to all functions in the APAC region (currently Australia, New Zealand, India and Korea) in compliance with all internal processes and procedures, and the provision of services including assisting in:
  • EPC and O&M contract negotiations for third party and internal projects in the APAC region.
  • Providing legal support to various stakeholders including the EPC, Finance and O&M Departments;
  • Drafting and negotiating procurement contracts and construction subcontracts.
  • Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial related documentation including confidentiality agreements and letters of intent.
  • Monitoring ’s compliance with its legal obligations and alerting relevant stakeholders when action is needed.
  • Presenting to internal and external parties on legal matters and the provision of in-house training.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports on legal activities and managing the contract approval and execution process.
  • Developing and keeping up to date precedent documentation and other legal resources for the region, co-operating with lawyers in other regions.
  • Continued development of policies and procedures for the region.
  • Liaising with international and domestic stakeholders, including our parent company, financiers and government departments, on a range of issues and projects.
Who you are:
  
EPC and O&M contracts, subcontracts and supply contracts, project agreements and dispute management. You could have experience with projects, construction or commercial/M&A experience. You will need to have experience with renewables EPC projects, if you have development experience as well this is desirable.
  
The role reports to the head of legal. At least 5 years post qualification experience in private practice and, preferably some in-house experience in the renewables industry
