US solar tracker maker Array Technologies Inc has been selected to supply the tracker systems for the 275-MW Darlington Point solar project in New South Wales.

The US firm will deliver its DuraTrack HZ v3 solution for the project, which will be equipped with Canadian Solar’s HiKu modules (CS3W-P), each averaging 400 W. Array Technologies’ announcement on Thursday comes just before the start of construction works, scheduled for this month. Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) and Signal Energy Australia were in January picked as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors.

The project, with a Direct Current (DC) capacity of 333 MW, is a joint venture between Australian renewables developer Edify Energy and UK-based Octopus Investments. It is expected to be commissioned at the start of 2020, generating enough electricity to supply 115,000 local homes per year.
